The second collection of strips from the man (well, teenager at the time) who was there, and lived to tell about it in comic form. There being Southern California, in the heyday of punk and hardcore in the early-mid ‘80s. While a little older now (give or take 20 years), Walsby mines those early punker experiences, and those of growing up a nerd, for a series of hilarious, pointed, and largely autobiographical cartoons on the likes of touring with the Descendents, Ronald Reagan, coffee shops, high school traumas, bowling, hair-metal, overrated records, SST, Bl’ast, the Monkees, Peanuts, straight-edge et al. Truly superb, and laugh-out-loud funny.
